On Friday, February 9, 2011 Lee Coursey of Russellville Dental Lab was presented with his Mastership status in the Implant Prosthetic Section of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists at their Spring Symposium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The awards ceremony saw a total of 23 of 20,000+ ICOI members receive this status.  The ICOI Mastership is awarded to those Fellows of the ICOI “who have accepted their professional responsibility and challenged themselves in the field of implant prosthodontics by developing the skills, knowledge and experience and training to properly treatment plan, design, fabricate and deliver implant supported prostheses.”

Lee presented a total of 40 restorations to a board for review.  His acceptance into the Mastership makes him one of only 22 technicians in the United States to receive this honor.  Among them is his father, Joseph Coursey.

From their Website:

The International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) was founded in 1972. Devoted to providing implant education to the entire dental team to better serve its patients, the ICOI is not only the world’s largest dental implant organization, but it is also the world’s largest provider of continuing dental implant education.

The ICOI is an association of general dentists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, periodontists, prosthodontists, endodontists, orthodontists, laboratory technicians, auxiliaries, industry representatives, researchers, faculty members, pre and post doctoral graduate dental students as well as the general public.

IOS Scanners are More Than Impression Tools

If you’re like most practices, you got a new IOS Scanner like Trios or PrimeScan and you haven’t been shown much more than just crown impressions and maybe ortho.

There’s more. Tons more. We want to help.
